WALC held its annual empowerment summit on Saturday April 27th, 2019 from
9:00am to 12:30pm at Barnes Hall at the illustrious campus of The North Carolina A&T State
University.
The goal of the summit was to bring together women of the African descent so that they can
connect with each other to advance their businesses, careers, find solutions for challenges they
are facing and to understand how to Bridge the gap that exist between African American and
African women.

i) Train the New Arriving Women with basic business concepts including financial planning ( checking and savings) and other potential investment opportunities;
ii) Assist the New Arriving Women in developing basic business planning skills;
iii) Introduce the microloans concept to the New arriving Women by exposing them to the process and implementation of microlaons
